Where Will Your Yoga Practice Take You?

As I consider the majority of my San Francisco photos, I realize that I’m doing yoga in most of them.

What parts of my very own city would I have missed out on if I hadn’t been practicing yoga?

When I’m out on a run and want to stop, drop, and yoga, I try to think of the best views, which isn’t very hard, seeing as San Francisco is surrounded on three sides by water.

Of the following five photos, two are taken by camera timer, and three by curious passersby. Surprisingly yoga has brought me into contact with more people. It seems like a solitary undertaking, but really it’s about sharing the healthy lifestyle with others in an ever-growing global community of yogis and yoginis.

What parts of your city, state, and world are you missing out on? Get out there and let me know what you find! Here are the parts of SF I’ve been loving recently:

parsva bakasana (side crow pose) at Lands End

eka pada galavasana (flying crow pose) at Baker Beach

devaduuta panna asana (fallen angel pose) at Legion of Honor museum

Baker Beach; does anyone know the name of this pose?

parsva bakasana (side crow) on Moraga Steps

Thanks so much for visiting my site and for subscribing! I just finished my yoga teacher certification program, so I’ll be blogging a lot more coming up about yoga in San Francisco! Happy New Year and Namaste!
